Greenprint has registered Gurrabeal Reforestation & Biodiversity and is currently in the process of developing an Environmental Account to submit for certification.
About the account.
The southern portion of the property includes a large area of remnant vegetation with high environmental value. Its proximity within 5 km of the Southern Tablelands Priority Population for NSW koala habitat makes it significant, and it is bounded to the north by Murrumbucca Creek. The purpose of the Gurrabeal Environmental Account is to provide objective information on the condition of native vegetation and koala habitat on the property over a 25-year period. The first account will establish a baseline condition of the assets prior to a large-scale reforestation project in 2025, which will cover approximately 200 hectares of the property. Native species representing local plant community types will be planted, including key koala food tree species.

About the Account Holder.
Greenprint Nature founder, Anthony Emmett, spent 15 years working as a derivatives trader in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. In 2024, he established the company with the intention of restoring native ecosystems and producing high-quality environmental credits.
The company has invested in several properties, including Gurrabeal, which, due to its hilly landscape and difficult terrain, is not ideally suited to intensive agriculture. The property was unmanaged prior to its acquisition, with heavy weed and pest incursion. Reforesting the property presents a unique opportunity to sequester carbon while restoring biodiversity values.
