About the account.
Glencoe Station was acquired by the current owners in 2000, who immediately altered the land management practices on this property. Prior to 2000 stocking regimes had resulted in a reduction in biodiversity due to overgrazing in critical ecosystems on the property, including Riparian zones. Current management of this property includes rotational grazing and spelling country with cattle exclusion on 80% of the property at any given time. Implementing this management approach has seen improvements in biodiversity, infiltration and a corresponding reduction in runoff. Using the AfN Framework the owners look to rigorously measure and verify the environmental condition of their property.
