This Environmental Account has been developed to document and better understand the condition of environmental asset, native vegetation, across Forico’s natural forest areas which are managed for their conservation and biodiversity values. Informing sustainable land management practices and providing robust metrics for communicating the environmental condition to various stakeholders and the general public, this Environmental Account will be ongoing to measure the change in condition through time.

About Forico.
Forico’s Purpose: We are custodians of the natural environment, entrusted to use our natural resources for the betterment of future generations and to preserve and create value for our investors.
Forico is Tasmania’s largest private forest and land manager, engaged on behalf of the investors of The Tasmanian Forest Trust, managing more than 174,000 hectares of landscape in Tasmania. The Estate consists of almost 90,000 hectares of globally certified plantation managed for sustainable wood fibre production, and more than 70,000 hectares of natural forest areas which are not harvested for commercial purposes but are managed for their conservation and biodiversity values. We strongly believe forest products can make a positive contribution to the mitigation of climate change and the transition to a circular economy to replace carbon-intensive industries with a fully renewable resource.
