About the account.
Wollemi and Permagen, a plantings-focused carbon project developer, have partnered to develop a portfolio of high-integrity Environmental Plantings projects under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) scheme. Wollemi’s project-level equity financing is being used to fund the land acquisition and development costs of these projects.
The Boloco Biodiverse Reforestation project will activate large-scale native reforestation in the Australian Alps Bioregion of New South Wales, aiming to restore a landscape degraded by intensive agricultural practices and extensive weed infestations. Planting will include mixed native species such as Eucalyptus pauciflora, Acacia dealbata, Eucalyptus stellulata, Eucalyptus rubida, Eucalyptus dives, and Eucalyptus bridgesiana.
The project is designed to enhance nature connectivity by linking forest corridors with the nearby Kosciuszko National Park, Ngadang Nature Reserve, and Paupong Nature Reserve. The landscape varies from moist creek flats and frost hollows to undulating low hills and more rugged high areas. Wollemi and Permagen plan to track these benefits in line with the Accounting for Nature® standard, using the Native Vegetation Assessment Methodology developed by Bush Heritage Australia.

About Wollemi.
Wollemi is a global investment firm specialising in climate initiatives, with a strong emphasis on natural capital. The company has funded over 10 nature-based carbon projects across Australia. Collectively, these projects are anticipated to sequester more than 20 million tonnes of carbon over their lifetimes, covering approximately 3.5 million hectares and involving the planting of over 1 million trees in 2024 alone.
Wollemi has collaborated with various project developers, each possessing specialist expertise in different nature-based methods, to create projects across a wide range of landscapes. These biodiverse native regeneration and reforestation projects contribute to larger forest corridors connected to adjacent national parks and deliver significant benefits for nature.
