About Kemano Holdings.

Originally a dairy farm this property was converted to an Angus beef breeding enterprise in 2001. The farm runs a herd of 90 breeder cows and replacements. Rotational grazing practices have been in place and more recently regenerative farming principles are being implemented. This has been sparked by attending Landcare training courses in Master Tree Growers and Regenerative agriculture. The farm has planted over 20,000 trees and will soon plant an area designated to agroforestry. In the future, the farm is looking at carbon neutrality and implementing a ‘whole of farm carbon plan’ and interest in carbon markets and co-benefit revenue and diversified farm revenue.
