Significant outcomes

The first year of environmental data collection on Kemano Park provided an evidence based environmental condition assessment of the Native Vegetation and Soil. The Econd® values recorded are indicative of a farm that aims to balance productive capacity and environmental conditions with regenerative agricultural principles.  

The native vegetation Assessment Unit Econd® scores range from 12.8 for the recently planted Agroforestry area (EVC 175 Revegetation) to 44.8 for a more mature revegetation area (EVC 53).

Disclousres & limitations

Property size - Due to the size of the property, external factors such as neighboring properties had a large influence through the 1 km configuration context indicator. In addition revegetation projects on the property did not meet the 20m minimum width required for field measurements.

Sub-canopy height- The Victorian source for reference benchmark does not include values for sub-canopy height. For this first account this indicator has been scored as N/A, however as the NV sub-assets include a sub-canopy cover indicator with a reference benchmark, subsequent submissions will seek expert opinion for the determination of a reference benchmark.
