About Quentic.
Zeebra Plains (operated by Quentic) is a cattle farm in the Burnett Mary area, with an aim to produce carbon neutral and entirely sustainable food. That includes restoring the native environment and minimising downstream impact for example on the Great Barrier Reef.
As part of this commitment to sustainable agriculture and in addition to the LRF project mentioned above, two ERF carbon farming projects are implemented at Zeebra Plains to ensure a carbon-neutral operation and to develop sustainability co-benefits - from better managing pastures for example.
Zeebra Plains also hosts a DAF and DES research project in collaboration with University of Queensland and University of Sunshine Coast, on silvo-pastoral systems to develop methods of integrating grazing and native forests, thus maximising carbon and environmental benefits of productive grazing systems.
Quentic is passionate about facilitating the adoption of carbon-free and sustainable farming practices on farms of all sizes in Australia, and is helping farmers and farming organisations to find how they can develop such practices in their own context and at any scale.
